In August, U.S. import prices advanced 0.7 percent following a drop of 0.3 percent in July. U.S. export prices rose 0.6 percent in August after declining 1.4 percent in July. Over the past 12 months, import prices advanced 7.0 percent, and export prices rose 8.6 percent.
