Uses of Data
State Workforce Agencies in conjunction with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics compile detailed economic statistics
for each State based on business activity and location. Together a profile of labor markets for local communities,
for the State, and for the nation as a whole is prepared. The information is widely used by academic researchers,
community organizations, government agencies, and others looking at businesses and jobs in your area.
The Arkansas Workers' Compensation Commission uses the data to identify firms that are in industries potentially
subject to hazardous working conditions, while the Arkansas Economic Development Commission uses these statistics to
qualify firms for training incentive assistance.
